SEN Sessions

SEN sessions at Jump Inc are designed for people with special needs, autism or sensory needs. During these sessions, lights are turned up (no disco lights), and the music is turned down. This is to reduce any unneeded stress.

Our Jump Inc parks are called ‘hybrid mega parks’ because all of them are filled with a range of exciting activities! From interconnecting trampolines and tumble tracks to huge inflatable obstacles, ball pools and slides. Each location is different with different exciting activities to explore. You’ll find something for all ages and abilities at Jump Inc.

When are Jump Inc SEN Sessions?

Our new weekend SEN sessions will be on every last Sunday of the month 10-11am, starting Sunday 28th April.

What happens during Jump Stars SEN Session?

Some of the changes we make during this session to ensure it is enjoyable for everyone:

• No whistles. If there is any rule-breaking, we’ll calmly explain the rules, or we’ll talk to a supervising adult.
• Disco lights turned off and music turned down.
• Hard basketballs removed.
• A 5 / 10-minute announcement before the end of the session.
• Exclusivity & reduced capacity
• Extra staff
• An alternative option to wristbands if required

Trampolines are key to a specific type of exercise therapy that benefits those across nearly the whole spectrum of disabilities. Trampolining has been proven to provide a huge number of potential therapeutic and physiological benefits. From cardio-respiratory, muscle tone, balance and posture through to perception and communication!
So join us each month for an hour of fun and light exercise.

FAQs

Can siblings come to Jump Stars?
Yes, our SEN sessions are for families of SEN children too. Please be aware of the nature of the session, anyone not acting appropriately will be removed from the session.

My child has sensory issues, is this suitable for them?
We turn off our party/disco lights and keep the big main lights on to reduce sensory stimulation. Music volume is also turned down to make it a more enjoyable experience for children who might become overwhelmed by loud sounds.

My child does not like wristbands, what can you do?
Wristbands are not required to be worn by children in this session, we ask that parents and carers wear one so our staff know that everyone has done all the necessary steps when signing in for the session.

My child is unable to understand the safety briefing video, what should I do?
We ask that parents and carers carefully watch the safety video, and explain any rules they can to their child. Staff are also on hand to help if needed.

Do you do food and drink?
We have a cafe in our parks which offers delicious hot food and other refreshments that you can purchase after your bounce. Please note that if you decide to stay to eat after the Jump Stars session, other customers will be entering the building for the session after.
